6. Choices

It’s estimated that we make about 35,000 decisions, major and minor, every single day. We are constantly choosing between certain options or deciding whether to act or not to act in any given situation.

Some minor choices we are confronted with can involve bias on the part of the asker and they end up not being choices at all.

This type of ‘choice’ is not unknown in spousal exchanges.

“What would you like for dinner, the leftover veggie lasagna or mac and cheese?”

“You know what? I haven’t had mac and cheese for the longest time. I’d love that.”

“I think we should finish up the lasagna.”

“Oh, great, let’s have that.”

Here’s an example experienced by another member of the family. She was in a Tim Hortons drive through and asked for an English muffin with peanut butter and jam.

“What kind of jam would you like?” came the voice over the speaker.

“What kinds do you have?” she asked.

“Strawberry,” said the voice.

“Oh, great, I’ll have that.”

Sometimes it’s nice not to have to make any decisions at all. At Halton Hyperbarics we like to think we’ve thought of just about everything you’d want. We have extra-large chambers and personalized service, with your own bath robe (instead of a hospital gown) brought to your private changing room. Each changing room has a nature mural and different animal hooks for your clothing. We provide restful and restorative music and video while you wait (briefly) for your treatment and you don’t pay a thing for any of this if you are having HBOT for any of the 14 conditions covered by OHIP.

So, you see, with us you don’t have to make any choices or decisions at all!

Wait a minute, did you want to watch a movie during your treatment?
