9. Hyperbaric Forest

If you were to Google “what is Canada’s largest industry?” you would see that real estate, rental and leasing lead the way in GDP contribution.

However, if you were to spend time in Toronto or Montreal, you might well think that Canada's biggest industry was digging up roads.

Many years ago, a visiting American comedian who was observing this curious tradition said, “I hope they find what they’re looking for.” Evidently, we haven't.

Iconically speaking, Toronto might replace the CN tower with a giant orange cone and Montreal could have a sign across Mount Royal, like the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, stating Détour.

How should you get around in places like these? On foot, if you possibly can.

Speaking of “on foot,” we hope you enjoy this very short video. It’s best viewed full screen and with good volume.

We wish you a very happy and healthy 2026. We hope you won't require hyperbaric oxygen therapy, but if you do, we hope you will bear us in mind.
